Every teacher’s week, on one grid.

Set your school day once, build each teacher’s timetable lesson by lesson, and see any class’s full week in one place.

Why this module

A timetable on the staffroom wall is out of date by week two.

Building the timetable is hard enough. Keeping it current, and getting it to the people who need it, is where it falls apart.

  1. 1

    One copy, on one wall

Teachers photograph the printed timetable, and the photos stop matching after the first change.

  2. 2

    Two views, kept by hand

The teacher’s week and the class’s week are separate documents, updated separately.

  3. 3

    Rebuilt every term

A new term means starting the whole grid again from scratch.

What you can do

From the school day to every lesson in it.

Set up the periods once, place the lessons, and every view of the timetable stays in step.

Set your school day once

Each curriculum stage gets its own periods and breaks, and every timetable for that stage uses them.

  • Your times, not a template.Name each period, set its start and end, and mark breaks and lunch as non-teaching.

  • Overlaps are caught.A period that clashes with another is rejected, with the one it clashes with named.

  • One set of periods per stage.Every teacher and class on a stage shares the same rows, so the grids line up.

Place lessons in a click

Click an empty slot on a teacher’s grid and the lesson form opens with the day and times already filled in.

  • Set it once, not every week.A lesson can repeat weekly, daily or every weekday, until a date you choose or the end of the timetable.

  • One-offs fit too.Switch off the repeat for a single extra lesson or a one-day cover.

  • Substitutions take a minute.Give a lesson to another teacher and it moves onto their timetable.

See any class’s week

The same lessons read from the class side, so a stream’s full week across all its teachers is one view.

  • Teacher view and class view agree. There is one set of lessons, so the two can’t drift apart.

  • Narrow a teacher’s grid to one class.Filter a teacher’s week to a single grade and stream.

  • Print it for families.Download a class or teacher timetable as a PDF to share or pin up.

A fresh timetable when the old one ends

Each timetable runs for a set window of dates. When it ends, the teacher gets a new, empty one automatically, ready for the next lessons.

  • Nothing to set up for new teachers.A timetable is created when a teacher is added, ready for their lessons.

  • History is kept.Past timetables stay readable after they expire.

  • Teachers are told.A teacher is notified in Elimu Bora when a new timetable is ready.

Built to work together.

Timetables & Lessons uses the core school information already maintained in Elimu Bora, so your team isn't entering the same data twice.

  • User & Identity

Every teacher, with the subjects they teach.

Timetables & Lessons needs it for: whose timetable it is, and who can cover a lesson.

  • Curriculum & Structure

Subjects, streams and each stage’s school day periods.

Timetables & Lessons needs it for: the rows of the grid, and what is taught to whom.

  • Academic Years & Terms

Terms pre-loaded from the Ministry calendar.

Timetables & Lessons needs it for: the term each lesson’s dates fall in.

Timetables & Lessons

Weekly timetables for every teacher, readable by class.

Reads all three, so each lesson knows its teacher, its class and its week.

Timetables & Lessons FAQs

Questions, answered

What schools ask about Timetables & Lessons before they switch.

Yes. Periods are set per curriculum stage, so Lower Primary and Junior School can run on different times. Every timetable for a stage uses that stage’s periods.

The timetable itself renews on its own: when one expires, the teacher gets a fresh one and the old one is kept. Lessons are added to the new timetable; there is no copy-forward from last term.

Edit the lesson from the class’s timetable and pick another teacher, and it moves onto their timetable. For a single day, add a one-off lesson instead of changing the weekly one.

Not in their login. The school can download the class timetable as a PDF and share it with families.

Yes. Teacher and class timetables download as landscape PDFs, with periods down the side and weekdays across the top.
